How to connect with publications on accred

To apply for events through accred, you need to be invited by a publication. Here’s a step-by-step guide to getting connected.

Step 1: Understand the requirement

When applying for an event without being linked to a publication, you'll see the following disclaimer:
"You're not associated with any publications. To apply for this event, you need to be invited by a publication."

This safeguard ensures that only verified contributors from legitimate media outlets can request access to events.

If your publication doesn’t have an accred account, share the link with the owner or editor-in-chief and ask them to sign up and invite you.

Step 2: Get invited by a publication

Once invited, you'll receive an email and be automatically added to their contributor list, officially linking you to the publication on accred.

Step 3: Apply for Events

Once linked to a publication, you'll see their name in the Select Publication section and can apply for any events under them.
