About us
Hi, I’m Brenton.
For over a decade, I’ve run Australian Music Scene, a music publication dedicated to showcasing talent across Australia. It all started with a single request. A photographer asked me for a photo pass to Hermitude at the Hordern Pavilion, Sydney. At the time, I didn’t even know what a photo pass was. He explained that he’d take photos of the show and I could put them on the website. I was immediately intrigued.
I started reaching out to publicists, stumbling through wrong contacts until I finally got it right. To my surprise, they granted us a pass. That first successful show sparked an idea. What if more contributors could attend gigs and help bring live music to life for our readers?
Before I knew it, I was managing 80 contributors across Australia. The growth was exciting, but the admin quickly became overwhelming. Fielding contributor requests, contacting publicists and following up became a full-time job. I knew there had to be a better way to streamline the process, not just for me but for publicists and contributors too.
That’s how accred was born.
Now, accred is here to simplify media accreditation for publicists, publications and contributors. At its core, it’s designed to generate the best media coverage possible for artists, helping them sell more tickets, ensuring venues make more money and strengthening the relationship between media and artists for the benefit of the entire music industry.
Got questions? Feedback? Drop me an email anytime. I’m committed to making accred the best tool for streamlining media accreditation.
Hope to talk soon.
